A video interviews series to present the FLEXIndustries pilots
For the fourth episode of the “INTERVIEWS WITH THE PILOTS” series, the FLEXIndustries project introduces STOMANA, here presented by Dimitrios Panopoulos. STOMANA is a key player in the steel manufacturing industry present in the Balkans and the national markets for more than 70 years, known for the advanced technological capabilities and for its commitment to sustainability.
The problem they encounter in their daily production processes is that STOMANA purchases electricity from the day ahed market of Bulgaria, per quarter of hour, and in case of exceeding or non-consuming energy, they pay penalty fees. Therefore, thanks to FLEXIndustries they would like “to reach the implementation of a modern energy monitoring system, consisting of power meters, communication infrastructures, and monitoring applications. This system” says Dimitrios, “enables informed decisions based on advanced analytical tools.”
