A video interviews series to present the FLEXIndustries pilots
The INTERVIEW WITH THE PILOTS series has officially concluded, and the final partner we would like to introduce is K-Flex from Poland.
K-Flex is a multinational manufacturing company specializing in thermal and acoustic flexible elastomeric insulation materials. In this interview, we hear from Kamil Maszczyk, a representative involved in the FLEXIndustries project.
K-Flex primarily relies on electricity and natural gas for production. However, with the rising costs of these energy sources, one of their biggest challenges is meeting customer demands without significantly increasing product prices.
Through their participation in FLEXIndustries, K-Flex is focusing on two key aspects of production, as Kamil Maszczyk explains: “One is recovering heat from the vulcanization oven, allowing us to save energy by using it to heat the silos containing raw materials for production.” The second focus is on EPS insulation production: “For this, we utilize manufacturing steam generated from cold water.”
