A video interviews series to present the FLEXIndustries pilots
A new episode of the “INTERVIEWS WITH THE PILOTS” series is now live! This time, we hear from another FLEXIndustries pilot: Miloil.
Founded in 2001 in Greece, Miloil initially experienced strong growth in the motor oils and conventional fuels market. After five years of success, the company expanded into a highly innovative sector—the production of biodiesel and other renewable energy sources.
In this episode, Nikolaos Tsagkalidis shares insights into Miloil’s role in the FLEXIndustries project and the goals they aim to achieve through their participation. One of the biggest challenges they face is keeping production costs efficient, particularly because electricity accounts for a significant portion of these expenses.
Nikolaos explains, “What we are trying to do is harness all the thermal energy generated during electricity production. By doing so, we can better control our energy costs, reduce our electricity consumption, and ultimately lower our CO2 emissions.”
