The FLEXINDUSTRIES project is excited to announce that its first webinar, focused on “Navigating Regulatory and Authorization Barriers in Energy Flexibility,” has successfully taken place. Organized and moderated by RINA-C, the event featured three key speakers: Antonio Aires de Matos from EDP, Michela Mazzoccoli from the TRINFLEX sister project, and Adriano Caprara from the FLEX4FACT sister project.
Mr. Aires de Matos opened with an introduction to the concept of flexibility in the energy-intensive industry sector, followed by an overview of the current EU regulatory framework and its barriers. He concluded with the FLEXINDUSTRIES project’s goals, which aim to accelerate the green and digital transition in manufacturing and construction by promoting safer, more attractive jobs, fostering upskilling, and advancing climate-neutral, circular, and digitalized industries.
Ms. Mazzoccoli and Mr. Caprara then shared insights from the TRINFLEX and FLEX4FACT projects, highlighting the challenges posed by the diverse regulatory landscapes across EU countries.
